placing within the mind that good direction
where he might safely tread,
to follow well in the
steps of God.

PRAYER OF RELEASE AND EMPTINESS
My Soul, hear the prayer of my heart
and always remember:
That in this moment
I release into the endless void
all pain and anger,
all hate and bitterness,
all remorse and disappointment,
all sorrows and heartache.
The memories that wound,
that tear the soul to fill with grief,
even these have I set aside in forgiveness,
that I may find peace within.
All these things
do I turn loose from my soul,
and in their release am I made all empty within;
and in the stillness do I quietly feel
the coming forth of God.
For the blessings of this life
have I weighed in the hand,
and with the very thought of them
I have found an abundance of joy,
for God has filled me up with goodness
to turn my thoughts unto glory.
Come, my Father, and in me dwell;
for all hate and bitterness have I cast aside,
for by your presence am I healed of every affliction,
that I might walk uprightly and stand boldly
before the children of men.
Let your breath, like the wind
caress my soul
that I might be refreshed
at the coming forth of your glory.
Amen.
